Top Mirror bulbs were designed to solve a specific lighting problem: preventing direct glare into the eye while redirecting light toward the ceiling or wall. The upper hemisphere of the glass is internally silver-plated to be 100% opaque — all filament light is reflected back toward the lamp base, which points upward or toward the surface you want lit. Only the lower portion of the glass, near the cap, remains transparent for indirect ambient fill. The result is a directional bulb that functions as both a decorative object and a precision light source. On top of the silver-plated base, HongYu applies a colour cap — gold (TG), bronze (TB), or green (TGr) — so the bulb visually matches the fixture's finish even when switched off.
